Joker with holding knife in the mouth of a Gangleader and chanting "why so serious???" like a mantra does not exactly evoke humor in you (as a matter of fact, it is one of the most "horrifying" scene of the movie). Yet not only that gangleader or Joker but we all too are "dead serious" all the time and even without a blade stuck in our mouth.
An image of a successful person on his "autobiographical book" is not of a happy , but a person who is "seriously looking" at something at which his photographer told him to look at.
Parents tell their children to be "serious". Bosses tell their employees to be "serious". Is "seriousness" equal to success or commitment. Or if humour equals a crime ??? If I crack a joke , would I be imprisioned in a "Non-laughing" nation like North Korea??
Much of what I laugh depends on the episode of Two and a half men today, not on "comebacks" and "witty replies" because the other person might take my comments "seriously".
If humor is "dead" today??? Perhaps not commercially. But still I love you joker.. I found you funny in that scene..
